GEM Technology

Active’s GEM-PL technology is an innovative technology, developed to harness light energy to treat a variety of skin conditions effectively for best results. It is based on high end optical knowhow, combined with biological and medical knowledge.

G.E.M Technology (Geometrical Energy Management) – focusing light under the skin. With this technology which was developed by Active we can coagulate hair follicles and perform additional skin treatments without patient discomfort and with excellent results. Unlike other machines that first heat the skin surface, we concentrate the energy below skin surface so it is not felt by the patient and performs the treatment with efficiency. Combining this technology with high intensity pulses (more than twice the average intensity in competing devices) provides us with a safe and effective treatment. The patient knows they should be no pain and if such pain is felt – treatment is stopped. Pain is felt before damage is done. This way we do not encounter side effects from the treatments we perform.

It enables us to get through the melanin in the epidermis without harming it, and work on the melanin and other chromophores found in the dermis, thus we can work with a more efficient spectrum, resulting in an efficient, safe and pain-free treatment.

SPT Technology

Active’s diode laser utilizes Active’s developed SPT-Laser technology, which controls the pulse pattern according to skin color, hair color, density, treatment depth and other factors. The SPT-Laser technology provides high intensity short pulses, taking into account the treated tissue’s Thermal relaxation time (TRT). The precise concentration of laser energy enables efficient coagulation of hair follicles, excellent treatment results and minimized patient discomfort.

The SPT-Laser technology requires improved laser diodes capable of delivering high intensity laser pulses.

For improved safety, Active’s diode lasers are equipped with a unique safety feature that prevents unintentional triggering without the laser touching the patient’s skin. This unique feature eliminates the need to press a foot switch while pressing the handpiece’s triggering button and will not allow laser energy to be discharged – unless it is aimed at the target area. This way the therapist work is easier and the treatment is safer for all present in the treatment room.

The high intensity and short duration laser pulses of Active’s diode laser makes the treatment efficient and suitable for various skin colors.

RF + Fractional

The BRF technology enables us to deliver the right amount of energy in order to reach the desired treatment temperature and maintain it for the treatment duration.  It is done by constant skin temperature monitoring and computer controlled energy output.  The therapist touches the patient’s skin in order to start the treatment and all monitoring is done by the Body Shape.

Additionally we have a spike elimination system to avoid painful spikes due to low skin contact. This system is unique to Active and makes the treatment much more pleasant for the patient.

RF treatment is based on RF current streaming from the handpiece’s electrodes into the patient’s body. During the treatment the therapists moves the handpeice back and forth on the treated area. Sometimes the electrodes do not touch the skin firmly, resulting in poor contact. Once the contact quality is low, the resistance to the RF current rises, resulting in less current and high voltage. What the patient feels are painful electrical spikes each time the contact is poor. Active monitors the provided RF current more than 6 million times per second and once poor contact is identified – the current is reduced and the patient feels a pleasant smooth treatment without painful spikes.

The body shape does not need any buttons in order to work – once it identifies touch in the patient’s skin – it will start working, making the treatment simple and easy for the therapist.

Active’s integrated a Temperature Measuring Device, incorporated in the Body Shpe RF is a unique, highly accurate, Infra-Red  Assembly that reads the temperature every tenth of a second (0.1 S).

Features

• Besides non-invasive Quadro and Bi-polar applicators, the machine has a unique, built-in minimally invasive fractional applicator, with 3 types of microneedles. The tip has a 6X6 (36) non-insulated needle matrix, available in 3 different lengths: 0.5 mm, 1.0 mm and 1.5 mm.
• The procedures have been done with the unique spike elimination system: RF energy is transmitted only when all of the electrodes touch the skin, to avoid painful spikes due to low skin contact.
• It is not possible to miss the accumulating of excessive heat and cause burns.
• Exact indication when to move to the next area
• Effectiveness: The targeted tissue is getting the optimal energy for reaching the set temperature that makes the change.

The Body Shapes’ computer sets up, according to the therapist’s settings, the energy level provided during the treatment in order to bring the treated tissue to an optimal temperature and maintain that temperature without having the therapist measure temperature manually.
